The 12th Season of VMMF explores journeys, relationships, and cultural exchange through the life and music of Antonín Dvořák (1841–1904). From humble beginnings in Bohemia to international acclaim, Dvořák’s travels–across Europe, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Russia – continually shaped his musical voice. Each concert serves as a “postcard” from a place in his life, featuring composers he knew, those he encountered, and those influenced by him.
